Time for the Austin lesbians to flock to The Grackle (had to do it). If you've never been, it's the dive on the corner of 6th and Chalmers that thankfully still exists while so much around it has turned into condos. Dark vibe inside, cheap drinks, never too packed (not yet, that is). Known for nearly 200 types of whiskey at the bar, if whiskey is your go-to. Cold beers and welcoming bartenders are the cherry on top.

This is where the lesbian and sapphic crowd's ending up this round. There's pool, there's darts, there's a jukebox, and a patio out front with plants and usually a food truck. Come do whatever - play a game, sit outside, nurse a drink and talk to whoever's around.
