Sapphic Weekly ATX kicks off October at High Noon on East Cesar Chavez.

If you haven't been, it's a bit of a trip in the best way - a converted 1918 house done up like a mad trippy Western saloon, with colored ceilings that glow and a bubble window you could stare at for 10 minutes and still not really know what it was. The cocktails are genuinely good and, refreshingly, not expensive, which isn't easy to find on the East side these days. There's usually a food truck out back and a big patio to spread out on, and they're dog-friendly so bring your pooches!

It's an easy place to land whether you're new to Austin, newly out, or just want to be around other queer women for a night. Come on your own or bring people - there'll be a friendly crowd either way. Grab a drink, find a corner or a spot on the patio, and stay as long as you like.
