Lesbian & Sapphic Hangout at Barton Springs Saloon

Our queer women’s meetup at Barton Springs Saloon in South Austin was a night that reminded us why we love our community so much. New faces, people showing up solo-dolo and joining us to dance at Barbs after, and overall excellent lesbian energy. Well done lesbians.

Sometimes you just need a casual bar, a good drink in hand, and enough lesbians in one room to make showing up alone feel significantly less intimidating. Barton Springs Saloon has been especially good for those kinds of nights.

Seeing familiar faces return is always fun, but having newcomers fold into the crowd just as easily is what makes these nights work. No agenda, no pressure — just show up, grab something to drink (non-alcoholic or alcoholic, dealer’s choice), and see who you end up talking to.

Barton Springs Saloon proved once again that sometimes simple is undefeated.
