A Very Gay Game Night at Pins Mechanical Co.

The group was overdue for some activities other than lesbian pool and so we took on Pins Mechanical Co. in South Austin! This space was absolutely massive with a beautiful outdoor patio at the front with giant connect 4, hanging chairs, fire pits to keep toasty, and that’s before you even walk in.

Inside is an expansive space with any game you can think of, mini-bowling, pinball, ping-pong (this one got heated), beer pong except the cups are industrial-sized trash cans and the balls are volleyballs. The list goes on however the highlight was definitely a beautifully decorated ‘70s retro arcade game area with leather chairs and framed pictures of families from decades ago. Something about it felt oddly nostalgic but we quickly got to work trying out all the games this spot had to offer. The drinks were delicious and pizza and wings were the go-to of the night (lactaid came in clutch for our more dairy-sensitive sapphics).

This spot was a keeper and we would love to return with an even bigger crowd during the day where the lesbians can rally all day just playing games and having a gay ol’ time. Another truly fun night of creating community and connections in sapphic Austin. Join us at the next sapphic spot.
