Rainy Gays at High Noon

While we originally had Thursday, Oct 1st planned for our sapphic night, the lovely Austin weather had other plans. The same storms that earned this year’s ACL the nickname “Mudfest” also paid Sapphic Weekly ATX a visit, and heavy flooding forced us to reschedule to Saturday, Oct 3rd. And BOYYYY was it worth it!!

Saturday was still fairly rainy, but just dry enough for our Austin lesbians to come out and explore High Noon with us. This location was such a valuable find: the moody, psychedelic aesthetic, the retro-style photo booth, and the trippy four-way mirrored bathroom left us with so much to remember. An absolutely huge shout-out to the venue and the wonderful staff, who were exceptionally welcoming and down to have fun with us.

The highlight of the night by FARRR was seeing three of our Austin sapphics light up when they found out they’d won our free tattoo giveaway(they’ve all received their ink since then). Thank you Addie, Mari, and Erika for trusting us and being part of our community!

Keep Our Sapphics Tatted is Sapphic Weekly ATX’s ongoing effort to provide free tattoos for queer women across Austin. We’re lucky to have built a rapport with tattoo artists who are excited to put ink on our community members.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and rolled with the flow, and a big thank you to High Noon. We loved this venue so much that we’re bringing our Halloween lesbian RAGER, Sapphics & Spirits, back here on October 22nd.
